Garnets are a group of minerals that have been used since the bronze age as gemstones and abrasives.

All types of Garnets have a different chemical composition to each other but a crystal structures in which they look very similar.

Rhodolite Garnet is a variety of Pyrope Garnet, a magnesium aluminium silicate. it’s colour varies from rose red to pale violet. It’s name is derived from two Greek words meaning ‘rose stone’. It is found in Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Zambia, Brazil and the USA.


Rhodolite Garnet is said to alleviate feelings of inadequacy or unworthiness that one may feel towards themselves, and it is believe to bring a sense of love, a comfort and belonging to those who feel unhappy, worthless or unable to see a way forward. This in turn passes on a love, kindness and compassion to others.

Rhodolite Garnet is considered to be an excellent stone to bring the best out of one’s self and others. Encouraging expression, abilities and gift.

Tumble stones are so called because a number of stones of similar sizes are placed in a barrel which is rotated (tumbled) at a speed and after a time between 3 - 5 weeks the stones are polished from rough to smooth. 

(The Tumble stones we sell, have not been tumbled by ourselves)
