Amber is pine resin which has fossilised over million of years, usually golden to yellow-brown in colour. Some amber has been found to contain red, blue, or green hues.

Although actually organic it is sometimes considered and used as a gemstone.  Most of the worlds Amber is in the range of 30-90 million years old.  Often Amber has insects and plant matter encased inside, these specimens can be preserved in perfect condition, 

Baltic Amber  comes from around the sores of the Baltic Sea, Latvia, Kaliningrad Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Southern Sweden, Northern Germany & Denmark.
