Chrysotile - Serpentine - Tumbled Stone

Chrysotile (Serpentine) - Chrysotile crystallises in the form of flexible and easily separating delicate fibres. The colour range includes green-white, olive-green, green, green-black, yellow, and brown, brown-yellow, brown-red, and white.

This mineral is said to bring a bonding action between one and the object of ones desires, such that one may easily release the object whenever the need has been fulfilled.

The energy of Chrysotile may assist one in "finding” the "true” self by clearing the "baggage” of the past and by release of control over others, but may also assists one in maintaining control with respect to ones life.

Serpentine is not a single mineral, but rather a group of related minerals. Besides for the main members of Antigorite and Chrysotile, a distinction is not usually made between the individual members except under scientific study and classification.

Antigorite usually represents the more solid forms.

Chrysotile usually represents the fibrous forms, especially asbestos

Chrysotile is further sub-classified into four member minerals by its crystallization, and Clinochrysotile is by far the most prevalent form of Chrysotile.

Rough or  raw Chrysotile, a type of  asbestos, should never be brought near the mouth. If its fibers or particles enter the lungs, they can cause asbestosis.

Tumble stones are so called because a number of stones of similar sizes are placed in a barrel which is rotated (tumbled) at a speed and after a time between 3 - 5 weeks the stones are polished from rough to smooth.

(The Tumble stones we sell, have not been tumbled by ourselves)
