This genus of Plesiosaur Elasmosaurus (meaning "Thin Plated Lizard”) was large marine reptile, which could grow up to 46 feet long (bigger then a T-rex). These slow swimming marine reptiles, lived during the Late Cretaceous Period 80.5 million years ago, had an extremely long necks and four paddle like flippers for swimming.
