Lizardite Tumbled Stone

Size approximately 2cm to .52cm

Weight varies 6g to 12g

Lizardite was named by Eric James William Whittaker and Jack Zussman in 1955 after the place it was first reported, the Lizard Peninsula, in southern Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.

A member of the serpentine mineral subgroup^,  and a member of the kaolinite-serpentine group.  Much of the Lizard peninsula is composed of serpentinite-bearing rock.

Lizardite is found Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. Holy Island, Anglesey Wales and Scotland.   Also notable sources found in U.S.A, South Africa and Australia, Canada, Italy, Norway and Japan.
