Sabugal is a city and a municipality in the District of Guarda in Portugal. Bendada mines consist of several small mines on pegmatite granites called Seixeira AKA Fonte da Cal, Feiteira and Quinta da Ribeira. It's a complex of pegmatitic veins, with many phosphates and silicates. Many other crystal minerals can found there along with Quartz, such as Berly, Malachite, and Muscovite to name a few.

Smokey Quartz is variety of Quartz, a silicon dioxide mineral. Like other Quartz crystals, Smokey Quartz has a hexagonal (trigonal) crystal system and forms in prisms.

It can vary in colour from very pale tan to a deep chocolate brown, it’s colour comes from natural irradiation.

Smokey Quartz can be found in many countries, including Brazil, Australia, Madagascar, Switzerland and the USA.

Smokey Quartz is to be a wonderful friend for those who resist being embodied. It may help one feel more engaged in the world and may be capable of creating or changing one’s reality.

Smokey Quartz is said to be best used to counter the negative effects of radiation, including sunburn, exposure to radioactive materials, medical radiation therapy and exposure to focused electromagnetic fields.
