In 1962 the Meteorite collector Dr HH Nininger wrote a letter to Mr EL Krinov describing a meteorite He had recently received from the Philippines.


This meteorite was unusual in that various fragments of it displayed characteristics of different meteorite types. Around 11% of the meteorite is classed as Iron, 17% as Stony-Iron (Mesosiderite) and 70% as Stoney (Chondrite).


Over 850kg of this meteorite has been recovered including 550kg which is housed at the Busek Centre for Meteorite Studies at Arizona State University.
