Elestial Quartz has many names, it is also known as Heavenly Quartz. Its correct name, however, is Jacaré Quartz but it is is also known as Crocodile or Alligator Quartz due to the crystal growth appearance similar to that of Crocodile or Alligator skin. In appearance it is a blanket of  points or part points together giving a stepped appearance. All of the smaller points surrounding an underlying greater crystal have grown parallel to the greater crystal.

Quartz is both one of the most common crystals on Earth and at the same time one of the most useful. Growing in clusters, as a massive or sometimes as individual points it is found worldwide with some regions having distinctive characteristics such as the clarity of Penas Blancas quartz from Columbia or what are known as "skinny points” from Arkansas in the USA or the colours of Orange River Quartz from Africa. Individual crystals or entire clusters may exhibit inclusions of other material such as Chlorite or a cloud like looking inclusion which is some times rather too as "fairy mist”.

One of Quartz’s most frequent uses is said to amplify the properties of other crystals. It can also be a very uplifting crystal, raising our spirits with its internal rainbows which are made from fractures within the crystal, whilst also having the potential to be very calming. It may also be used to work with all of our Chakras.

Quartz though is a great all-round crystal which may be used to perform a variety of task and help with any personal needs, as well as being simply a beautiful crystal to admire and to enjoy.
