Leptoceratops (Lep-toe-ser-ah-tops) (meaning 'small horn face') is a type of Ceratopsain Dinosaur (a group of Dinosaurs that consist the famous Triceratops) from the Late Cretaceous of North America.

Found in Alberta, Canada in 1910 and named in 1914 by paleontologist Barnum Brown. These first discoveries found Scollard Formation consisted of a partial skull fragment and skeleton, with more complete finds discovered in 1947 by fossil collector and palaeontologist Charles Mortram Sternberg.

Unlike the Triceratops, with their three big horns and big crest, Leptoceratops had more basic skull features with a very large with a strong jaw and reduced frill. The fore-limbs and hind-limbs were robustly built and could possible, when moving at speed, move bipedal (back legs) when moving at pace and quadrupedal (all four legs) when moving slowly.

These herbivore Dinosaurs could grow 2 meters in length.
